Make your own Side Table
Interested in making your own furniture, but not sure where to begin? Try newbie-friendly Side Table (or End Table) class! Each project is made our of local hardwood and participants will experience a wide range of power tools in this short class.

Introduction to basic woodworking power tools such as drills, jigsaw and random orbital sander
Basic safety rules when working inside the workshop
Step by step instructions on how to build your own Side Table

Measure & Mark - Learn how to break down large pieces of wood by accurately measuring and marking out according to a recommended cut list
Saw - Learn proper techniques to sawing, including rip cut and cross cut
Join - Learn various joinery techniques ranging from simple drill-and-screw to dowel joinery
Sand & Oil - Learn the right procedure to sanding and oiling to produce a perfect finish

Beginner, suitable for people with no experience

16 and older are allowed to attend the workshop with no restrictions
Children between 13 and 15 can attend the workshop with one accompanying adult (21 years old and above) each

Small class size, maximum 4 pax
Recommended attire - no loose clothing, no skirts, no FBT shorts, no accessories (e.g. wristwatch, jewelry)
Please note that you and your clothes will come into contact with sawdust
Not recommended for people with high risk of asthma
Safety PPE such as safety glasses, earplugs, N95 masks, rubber covered shoes and aprons will be provided
